Day 324/365

Wanting to try and move the mileage goalposts slightly in my favour opted for a longer run this afternoon. Had two rather unwilling running companions one more so than the other. Hoping to run 10ish miles myself Steve and Desmond who has run five days on the trot headed out the trading estate and around the lanes to Kilmersdon. In Kilmersdon we got on the cycle path all the way to Radstock, it was dry out but a bit overcast and cold, fingers were getting cold again. Five miles under our belts in Radstock we got on the Greenway all the way to Thicketmead. Desmond started threatening to head on back as we ran along the Greenway. We also came across some cheeky senior ladies the first one commenting " run faster you'll get there quicker" and another " no slacking high knees". Had some serious problems with swarms of tiny bugs along the cycle path which were hovering and if you were unlucky and didn't spot them you would get a mouth full of them, Des had more than his share. At the top of Thicketmead Des decided he had enough and headed back through Midsomer Norton myself and Steve carried on  along Chilcompton Rd, through the housing estates, then followed some footpaths I haven't been along before past Silver Street Nature Reserve. Heading back to the trading estate through the Nightingale Estate. Total mileage 11.07 miles 1768/2014 running miles, 41 days to go.
