Out early this morning ran from the caravan park to Sharkham Point then 3 miles along the coastal path to Scabbacombe Sands and then back again, passing through Southdown Cliffs, Man Sands, Crabrock Point and Long Sands. Shame this morning it was slightly overcast and damp which made some of the steep inclines and declines rather slippery. The coastal path is very narrow and there was no point in the 3 mile stretch where I could get into any stride, which didn't matter as the scenery is outstanding. Plenty of seabirds about none I could recognise and no one for company except sheep until I met a couple of random ramblers at Scabbacombe Sands who kindly took my photo. As I turned around and began to retrace my steps the route seemed completely different as the sun was fighting to break through the clouds. I ran tiny steps up some of the incines and could feel it pulling on my calf muscles, achilles not best pleased with this sort of run either, but made it back before everyone had eaten breakfast, full English.
