Day 192/365 Character Day

Batman and Roger                                              .                                                                               The Caped Crusader was joined by Boy Wonder aka Roger Devereux who stepped in at the eleventh hour to run from St. Benedict's School to the children's ward at Gotham city......sorry.....Baths Royal United Hospital, 12.45 miles. We were running today dressed in character for Time is Precious' last ever Character Day to comemerate Ben Halfords birthday who died age 5 after his brave battle with cancer. The run was from St. Benedict's where Ben went to school to RUH one of the hospitals where Ben had received his treatment.
We started the run by doing a lap of the playing field with Mr Lion T.I.P mascot and all the school children, it was brilliant the kids loved it. The Dynamic Duo then took on the mighty journey to RUH. What an enjoyable adventure lorry drivers were waving and flashing their lights, cars blowing their horns and kids shouting C'mon Batman. Bat mans sidekick Roger made a very brave run and did himself proud on a very hot day, the pace slightly faster than he is used to.
The support along the way was immense smiling faces, cheering and words of encouragement. Many thanks to The Golden Fleece in Bath for the offer of drinks and a generous donation to Time is Precious www.justgiving.com/365jimbarron

We were met at the children's ward by staff nurse Jayne and Mr Lion who had got there before us. A superb run and quite emotional knowing the good things that will be done with monies raised. Big thankyou's to support team along the way Sara KAPOW! Sue & Dave WHACK! Lucy & Margaret CRASH! Nicky & Neil BAM! Helen, Heidi, Eva , Verity & Callum SPLATT! And of course many thanks to Roger Devereux POWIE!
