Day 344/365

Grey and gloomy this morning it had been raining in the night which made the footpaths very slippery nearly ending up on my backside numerous times within the first mile. Took it a bit steadier and tried to stick to running on grassy areas where I could. Headed out across the fields to Holcombe old church and through Holcombe Woods the footpath still closed due to the unsafe bridge but it has been closed for almost a year now. Skirted around Shoots Wood  and followed the footpaths back towards Holcombe village. Past the former village school across the field and down Budds Lane, across Kilmersdon Common and then out to Ham. Around the edge of Edford Meadows through the woods below Stowells Concrete works where I spotted a green woodpecker and back up Holcombe Hill. Just under 5.5 miles very muddy but no injuries or accidents. Felt a bit lethargic this morning and my knee was a bit sore but managed to get the miles in and still on target for 2014 miles in 2014, still need another 117 miles in 21 days.
