Day 337/365

Have never ran with Frome and Country Off-Road Runners but Martin Taylor fellow 365'er was leading a run from The Talbot in Mells this evening, having not been for a run earlier in the day I took the opportunity and raced to Mells for the 7pm start. About 20 runners of mixed abilities and ages set of for a Shortened version of The Mells scenic 7 route in the dark on a very cold and crisp evening, the way illuminated by the head torches worn by all. At various points along the way everyone would stop and regroup to make sure no one was left behind and faster runners took the opportunity to run on ahead and then back on themselves coming up at the tail of the group so everybody stayed together. I recognised parts of the run even in the dark from running the scenic 7  but most of the time was I pretty lost and just concentrated on following the head torches in front of me and minding where I put my footing. Total mileage of 5.84 miles, rehydration was in The Talbot Inn.
